Lesson

When I think of life's lessons, one thing definitely comes to mind for me. It was in 6th grade at the Fall Festival at St. Phils. I was arguing with one of the guys in my class, Jake Williams. He was getting really annoying, and finally I just whacked him with my purse. Everyone thought it was really funny, so for the rest of the day, I just swung my purse at him when he said something annoying. This continued on to the next day, and it started to just become entertainment. Around the middle of the day, Jesse Mahrt told me to go hit Jake with my purse. I ran towards Jake, who was on a bike, and he rode just fast enough to avoid getting hit by my swinging purse. I went flying, and I landed on the cement in front of the church, with my arm crushed under me. I found out later that day that I had broken my wrist in two places, through the growth plate. I learned that day never to swing my purse at a guy on a bike, or it will come back to haunt me.

What I Wanna Do...

I have a lot of things that I want to do in my lifetime. To narrow it down will be difficult, but I'll try. So, when reading this, keep in mind that there may be things that I would rather do, but I just can't think of them at the moment. Well, here goes nothing. I want to (in no particular order):
1. Travel around Europe to France, Italy, Ireland, Britain, and any other countries on the way
2. Attend Notre Dame University
3. Go scuba diving
4. Write a book
5. Win a Nobel Peace Prize
6. Teach someone something truly worthwhile
7. Get married to my "one true love", and stay married to that person for all my life
8. Have kids and raise a family
9. Go to a Chicago Bears Superbowl, and watch them win
10. Ice skate on a frozen pond
11. Ride an elephant
12. Graduate high school in the top 5 of our class
13. Have a career that I love and that still allows me to take care of my kids
14. Play Free Bird (by Lynyrd Skynyrd) on my electric guitar
15. Meet Mark Buehrle, my favorite player on the Chicago White Sox
16. Own a little red car
17. Win "High Gold" at a dance/tumbling competition
18. Get my hair to stay perfectly straight for an entire day :)
19. Go to a really fancy restaurant and order the most expensive thing on the menu
20. Witness world peace

Report Card

I'm not nervous about my upcoming report card at all. I looked online to see my grades, and I have straight A's. My worst grade is an A- in Lit and in Driver's Ed. I know, Driver's Ed? But hey, those tests are hard. I'm done tomorrow though, and then I switch into gym. I think this quarter went by fast. It doesn't seem like we're a fourth of the way through the school year yet. I guess I've just been really busy... I think I strayed off topic a bit here. But it's all related to my report card in a twisted sort of way. Well, I guess I'll see you all later. That's all for now...

Peoria Logo

I liked most of the logos that the city of Peoria came up with for their choices. I voted for the logo that has red print stating "City of Peoria", and the word 'Peoria' curves. A small blue skyline is located over the word 'Peoria.' I chose this logo as my first choice because it is simple, but it still shows Peoria for what it is. We don't need a detailed, crowded logo, in my opinion. My second choice was the logo that said "City of Peoria" in black, and it had a colorful swirly thing above it. Personally, I don't think it matters that much which logo gets chosen because they were all good, and I don't really notice the city logo anyway. But maybe that's just me.

Favorite Halloween Costume

Wow, I can't even remember all my Halloween costumes. That's kind of sad... I just really have to think about it. I guess my favorite costume was my witch costume when I was about seven years old. I had a really pointy black hat with little gold stars on it. My dress was long and black, and it was different lengths at the bottom. I don't remember if I had a broom or not, but I probably did, being a witch and all. And I do remember my mom put eyeliner on me, which I just thought was the coolest thing ever. Oh, and my shoes had buckles on them. That was just the icing on the cake. I wish I was still so easy to please... :)

iPhoto

Hey everyone! Well, our iPhoto project is due tomorrow, and I'm about half done. It hasn't been a hard project as far as the requirements go, but it's been more difficult for me to think of pictures to look like the letters of my name. I still need a lot of pictures for my letters, I need to put them in iPhoto, and I need music. I guess I shouldn't have procrastinated so long. And right now, instead of posting to my blog, I should probably be looking for pictures and saving them to my flash drive. Yeah, I guess I'll do that instead. So that's all for now then. Wish me luck on finishing my project...
